The City of Concord is seeking an experienced communications professional to serve as its next Community Relations Manager in the City Management Department.

As the driving force behind the City's community relations and public information efforts, the Community Relations Manager is a master communicator, strategist, and problem-solver. This role blends research, planning, and public engagement to shape the City's voice and presence. Acting as the City's Public Information Officer, the manager navigates media relations, crafts compelling messaging, and ensures transparency. From handling concerns to leading social media strategies, overseeing video productions, and coordinating major city events, this position is at the heart of fostering trust, connection,and engagement between the City and its residents. In times of crisis, the manager is responsible for providing critical updates and ensuring clear, timely communication. With a deep commitment to public service and innovation, this role is essential in making the City an informed, connected, and vibrant community.

This positions requires a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, and five years of professional experience in public relations, public communications, or related government experience.
