Media Relations Manager

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to transform complex topics into clear, relatable and engaging public messaging. Apart from handling media queries, writing press releases, media advisories etc you will help us write articles and other content to help us raise our profile.

This role, in the Office of Public Affairs includes collaborating with department staff to help ensure consistent and accurate messaging on all internal and external communications. The successful individual, who will serve as a subject matter expert to the media and external audiences, will work closely with the Executive leadership and relevant state and federal agencies and other stakeholders and will also help with DFPI’s internal communications.
